Drawing has always been something I’ve enjoyed doing. When words would fail me I try my hand at expressing my emotions visually but oftentimes I get even more frustrated at my inability to make my hands create what I see in my mind, which is almost always the case. Despite this I continue drawing anyway, and although not every piece satisfies me I still share most of them online. As in the words of my friend: “Posting my art makes me feel like I tried.” Wise words.
As I am nearing the completion of my graphic design diploma course, I’ve been thinking about how much I’ve changed ever since I started two years ago. One thing lead to another and I found myself wondering about how much my drawings have changed over my stay here in Singapore as well, and as I compiled all of my lineless drawings since the beginning of my college adventure, I was quite amazed at how different my ~drawing style~ has become.

This post is about a journey, much like how this animation illustrates. At the beginning it’s not that refined, but it gets better over time. Like my drawing, this is how I picture my own artistic adventure and my life in general, and I hope you’ll stick around to see through this particular episode right through until the end!
Join me as I take a look at three years’ worth of drawings and make fun of my older illustrations
(Note: this is a picture heavy post)
